Spring Break - Travel Related Quarantine
Hello Bradley Beach Families,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing today to provide our families guidance in reference to potential travel over Spring Break, which begins on April 2nd with a return to school date of April 12th.

New Jersey’s guidance from the NJ COVID-19 Information Hub for travel restrictions states that New Jersey strongly discourages all non-essential interstate travel at this time. New Jersey’s travel advisory reads that travelers and residents returning from any U.S. state or territory beyond the immediate region of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware should self-quarantine at their home, hotel, or other temporary lodging. It further states that individuals who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 should continue to follow the State's travel advisory for self-quarantine.

When asked for clarification on the options to reduce quarantine times associated with travel, the Monmouth County Health Department recently released the following statement to schools:

While the health departments are aware there are options to reduce quarantine times, all public health departments in Monmouth County are still recommending a 14 day quarantine even for travel related situations. Due to health and safety considerations, 14 days is our recommendation at this time.

With this information as our background, the Bradley Beach Elementary School is requesting that all students and staff who travel beyond the immediate region of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware quarantine for 14 days upon their return to New Jersey. If your family is planning to travel outside of the area, please contact your homeroom teacher so the school can help plan your specific quarantine timetable and help prepare your student for virtual learning when we return on April 12th.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation with a planned quarantine in the event of travel and please feel free to contact the Nurse’s Office or the Main Office if you have further questions about the travel related quarantine.

Thank you,

Dr. Wisniewski
